The Battle of The SEXES

I was inspired by my brother, he told me about some of his female colleagues. One of them obviously liked him a lot, because she didn't know how to hide it. She asked weird questions like: "how many girlfriends did you have?", "what was your longest relationship?" etc. And of course she sends him the infamous duck face photos. Right after my brother clarified that he's not looking for a girlfriend, she said the same thing, she wasn't looking for a boyfriend, after she goes above and beyond?? hmmm... She's gasping in he's neck, texting him all the time continuing with the weird questions, he's like.. "I can't think straight anymore!!!". He said it himself: He's a guy who likes to be the hunter and NOT the hunted!!!

Fake It Till You Make It!

Friends and family who you used to know, whom you shared stories with, gone through life experiences with. They are not the same anymore. They've changed! And in this case, for the worse. The bond isn't the same, the frequency of contact isn't the same, the way they look at you and respond isn't the same. And if they contact you, you feel it's with different intentions.

You all must have seen those frases like, "I asked God to protect me from my enemies and then I started losing friends".

Some people call them frenemies, hypocrites or backstabbers, call them by the name you like. I'm going to open up a little, because I am going through it right now!

My Story
It isn't fun when you've spent alot of time with your friends or family that's not going to last or change negatively. I didn't noticed it for awhile but my relationship with some people were changing. Some people warned me about those others, but I wouldn't listen because HEEYY, could those people really going to do what those others were telling me? After so many years of kinship?

...Now You're Just Somebody That I Used To Know...

(I like to empower women by writing columns on a woman's point of view, but this applies for men also!!)

It's been 2 months after valentine's day. A studie has shown that the most breakups occurs in these 2 months AND two weeks before Christmas. Why you ask? Maybe because people also suffer from seasonal depression =P? Springbreak? Maybe people realise that they can't step up to the plate? Maybe they were just waiting after valentine's otherwise they would feel alone on that day? They don't want to introduce you to their family, or buy you a gift? Or maybe it is just not meant to be...
Whatever it is, it's still a break up and you go through pain and sorrow.

For many reasons love doesn’t always work out. Like Jazmine Sullivan said: 'Just cause I love you and you love me, it doesn’t mean that we’re meant to be!' Whether it’s through your own actions or actions of your partner, family, friends or anybody. It’s OVER and everybody’s been there, I’ve been there. So I want to share my experience on how to get over a broken heart.

Disclaimers

First off all, the columns I write with an advising tone are a reminder, an advice for myself before it's for anybody else. I am one of the people who tend to forget and with this, I'd like to remember! Sometimes I'm very happy and jolly but sometimes I am sad and confused. Why? Because.. Yess.. I tend to forget that I have a purpose in life and sometimes life gets to me, e.g. sometimes I dwell on the past cuz of unfinished business. But when I listen, hear, feel, read, see what I forgot, I see the bigger picture again and it makes my day a lot easier. And the past is the past for a reason and nothing in life happens for no good reason (my beliefs) so I concentrate my mind on the present moment - like Buddha said.


And if I could smile and find my way back in hardship/confusion, maybe YOU can too!! If I could help, with this blog, even 1 person in this world, I would be very happy! If I could make 1 person smile while reading my blog, I would be very glad. If I could do that, it would bring me peace and joy and bring me closer to my purpose.

Dutch/Nederlands

Alle columns die ik schrijf met een adviserende toon zijn allereerst een herinnering, een advies voor mezelf voordat het voor iemand anders is. Ik ben één van de mensen die snel vergeet en hiermee herinner ik mezelf wat ik eens wist. Soms ben ik blij en vrolijk, maar soms ook sad en in de war. Waarom? Omdat ja... Ik vergeet dan mijn doel in het leven, doordat het leven me soms grijpt met beide benen, bijv. ik blijf soms steken in het verleden, gedachtes malen door me hoofd, je krijgt er vervolgens nare gevoelens bij omdat je de losse einden niet hebt kunnen aanknopen. Maar wanneer ik hoor, luister, zie, voel, lees wat ik vergeten was, zie ik het grote plaatje weer en maakt het me dag veel mooier en makkelijker om te leven voor wat ik voor ogen had en heb! En ja, het verleden is en blijft het verleden. Niks in het leven gebeurd zonder reden, dus focus ik mijn gedachten op het heden! 


En als ik kan lachen en mijn weg terug kan vinden in moeilijkheden en verwarring, misschien kan JIJ het ook! Als ik slechts maar 1 persoon kan helpen met deze blog, zou ik al SUPER BLIJ zijn! Als ik 1 persoon aan het lachen kan maken of een lach op hun gezicht kan toveren tijdens het lezen van me columns, zou ik het geweldig vinden! Als ik dat allemaal zou kunnen doen met deze blog, zou ik dichter bij mijn doel komen.
